Senior Engineer – Site Development
The Senior Engineer is responsible for the overall successful completion of assigned projects, including, but
not limited to, scope development, contract negotiations, organization, compliance with all federal, state and local
regulations, cost and schedule controls, implementation, staff and client management and quality control.
Qualifications of ideal candidate:
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive design responsibility experience in professional civil engineering
work and 5 years of other Project Management experience - Must possess the ability to direct the design and platting staff through the project delivery process
- Possess current knowledge of local, state and federal design codes and regulations, industry practices and
regulations, as well as have the ability to read and understand construction drawings and legal documents - Opportunity to work directly with and provide mentorship to the engineers-in-training within the department
- Demonstrate/perform sound engineering principals in solving engineering problems
- Ability to lead and contribute to the design, execution and project management support for all projects,
maintain client and contractor relationships and develop further clients - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Be self-motivated, detail oriented and possess the ability to think critically and solve problems
- Must be able to recruit, train and oversee a team
Required Education/Licenses:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer’s (P.E.) License in the State of Texas
