Amber Forrest, manager of the Department of Transportation, has more than 20 years of experience working on transportation projects ranging in size from $5 million to over $100 million in construction cost. She has been instrumental in leading development of final roadway design, storm sewer analysis and design, preparation of retaining wall layouts, signing and pavement markings, SW3P, earthwork, cross-sections and cost estimates. In addition, she has completed toll road projects for Harris, Fort Bend and Brazoria counties.
Ms. Forrest has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
