Michael Bloom specializes in helping clients enhance the economic, social, and environmental outcomes of their projects. He utilizes his 24 years of planning, design, and permitting experience to meet the sustainability and compliance objectives of clients, especially relating to the Clean Water Act and storm water management. He designs natural drainage systems that reduce detention requirements, increase developable land, and provide amenity values. He performs compliance audits, prepares annual reports, runs sampling and monitoring programs, prepares permit applications, and supports clients during permit negotiations and enforcement proceedings.
An Envision Sustainability Professional, Certified Floodplain Manager, and Board Certified Environmental Engineer, Mr. Bloom serves on the Steering Committee of the Houston Land and Water Sustainability Forum, serves as vice chair of the Government Affairs Committee of the Water Environment Association of Texas, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bayou Preservation Association. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Drexel University.
