January 2017 WTS Member Spotlight – Amber Forrest, P.E.

Our very own Amber Forrest is this months “Member Spotlight” feature in the WTS Monthly Newsletter. Congratulations Amber! Thank you for your leadership, dedication and commitment to RGME.
WTS Member Spotlight Feature, January 2017:
Amber Forrest is a Transportation Engineer for R. G. Miller Engineers. She received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in December 2002. She began work for RGME in their Transportation Department in January 2003 and in January 2017 she will be celebrating her 14th anniversary with RGME. She began as an Engineering Associate, received her professional engineering license in December 2006 and is currently a Project Manager.
While working in the public sector, Amber has completed various PS&E packages for TxDOT. HCTRA and multiple cities and counties. Her design experience includes developing final roadway design, storm sewer and detention pond design, retaining wall, utility coordination, constructability/safety review and construction phase services.
Amber has been involved with WTS since 2010 and currently serves as the Membership Chair. She has been married to her husband Chris for 14 years and has 2 daughters, ages 4 and 6.
