Mueschke Road Improvements
R. G. Miller Engineers, Inc. has been selected by Harris County PID to provide the preliminary drainage design analysis of the Mueschke Road section 7 widening north of the proposed Grand Parkway. The roadway is to be widened from an existing two lane rural roadway with open ditches to a four lane curb and gutter urban roadway with a raised median. The roadway has an unusually high amount of sheet flow runoff and roadway overtopping during normal rainfall events. The XP-SWMM modeling program that will be used for this effort. When finished, the drainage analysis will identify the existing drainage patterns, quantify the flow rates for several different rainfall events, and propose best practice solutions for mitigating the impact of the roadway widening. These solutions will include detention facilities and storm sewer trunk line sizes.
