New Report: Building Stronger Suburbs: Adaptability and Resilience Best Practices from Suburban Houston.
November 17, 2016.
The Urban Land Institute – Houston District Council, in partnership with the Rice / Kinder Institute for Urban Research released a new report today highlighting best practices that are making our region’s suburban communities stronger. The report shows that communities whose governments cooperate, who create remarkable spaces with outdoor amenities, who provide enhanced mobility and good infrastructure, and who engage citizens are more resilient. The report includes research citations and case studies from the region. The report also acknowledges our own Michael F. Bloom, P.E., Sustainability Practice Manager, who served as a focus group participant during the development of the report. For more information about this please contact Michael at 281.921.8784.
