R.G. Miller Engineers Donates Computers to Local Non-Profit in Fort Bend County
R.G. Miller Engineers has donated computers – laptops and desktops – to The Arc of Fort Bend County, which is dedicated to ensuring opportunities for people with intellectual and related developmental disabilities to maximize their quality of life within the community. The Arc has many diverse services which improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and provides a base of support for their families. “Achieve with us” is the organizations tagline.
The computers are reformatted RGME computers, said Ashley Hinkle, the firm’s IT Coordinator.
“Every four years, we replace the workstations that our employees use to make sure we stay up-to-date with technology,” she said, adding that the machines are then sent out to be professionally wiped and ready for use.
The Arc of Fort Bend County is located on Brooks Street in Sugar Land, Texas with services that include: information and referral, educational advocates, employment specialists, residential services, as well as social and recreational children and adult programs. Charity organizations such as The Arc heavily rely upon the generosity of the community through fundraising and donations to provide for these needs
Local non-profit organizations are a great place to donate new and “gently” used office equipment and furniture. Updated technology is expensive, constantly changing and much needed by non-profits such as The Arc. RGME is proud to serve local charitable organizations, that serve others within the communities we work and live.
