June 1966.  The Astrodome, then called the Harris County Domed Stadium, had opened the year before to national acclaim.  The Houston metropolitan area had just been expanded by the inclusion of Brazoria, Fort Bend, Liberty and Montgomery counties.  And a housing boom was underway in the city dubbed the “Air Conditioning Capital of the World.”

t was during this period of change and expansion that Richard Miller opened the civil engineering firm that bears his name – like many other Houstonians, following the entrepreneurial example of the city’s storied past.

Since 1966, R. G. Miller Engineers, Inc. has grown in size and stature, earning a reputation for engineering expertise, solid management skills, and the dedication and integrity of our engineers.

As we celebrate our 50^th anniversary this year, we want to express our appreciation to all of our clients – public and private – who have trusted us with their most challenging projects over the years.  We thank you and look forward to continuing our relationships in the years ahead.
