RGME participates in 2014 Bright Futures Fair
On Friday August 8, 2014 staff from R. G. Miller Engineers (RGME) participated in the 2014 Bright Futures Fair. The Bright Futures Fair is a fun, exciting and educational way for the youth of Harris County to learn more about health, safety, and careers with bright futures in a fun-filled atmosphere. The fair is a major component of the Street Olympics’ Summer Games which was created by Harris County Precinct 1 Commissioner El Franco Lee in 1987. The non-profit charitable organization hosts the Bright Futures Fair each August in conjunction with the Street Olympics’ Final Event at NRG Center.
The RGME booth provided fair attendees with a fun and interactive exposure to a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum. The booth featured an activity of Pom Pom Poppers with monkey prize bags encouraging kids to “Swing High and Reach for the Top”.
RGME participants included Leslie Cline; Todd Elston, P.E.; Stella Cortez; Ayesha Sohail, EIT; Swadha Das Mohapatra, EIT; Sarah Davis; Jordan Williams, EIT; Anastasia Nugent, EIT; Dana Neuneker, P.E.; Amy Phan; Jeanne McMaster and Heather Davis.
