R.G. Miller Engineers has announced two additions to its staff.
Emily Lane, P.E., has joined the firm as Assistant Project Manager for the Transportation Department. Emily has more than 12 years of experience as an engineer, managing and supporting projects in transportation and traffic engineering. She has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
A native of The Woodlands, Emily says she originally wanted to be an architect but switched to engineering at the suggestion of her high school calculus teacher. While pursuing her degree, she became interested in transportation design and has been working in that field ever since.
Kaitlin M. O’Brien-Friesenhahn is the new Environmental Scientist for the Sustainability Practice Department, where she will be working on wetland and stormwater projects. She has a B.S. degree in Rangeland Ecology and Management from Texas A&M University and an M.S. degree in Integrative Biology from Oklahoma State University.
Kaitlin became interested in environmental science after joining 4H in high school, where she competed in a Range Evaluation Contest and became interested in rangeland ecology. She considers her new position at RGME an opportunity to work as a scientist and contribute to mitigating environmental issues.
