RGME’s Bloom Interviewed on Envision and Public Infrastructure
The Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Framework and the financing of public infrastructure projects were the featured topics in a June 15 video blog interview of Michael Bloom, P.E., ENV SP, manager of R. G. Miller Engineers’ Sustainability Department.
The interview was conducted by Kaitlyn Allen, president and CEO of Global Affairs Associates (GAA), a boutique sustainability consulting firm based in Houston.
The Envision framework was published in 2012 by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure – an organization founded by the American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Public Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Bloom, a certified Envision Sustainability Professional and member of the GAA Advisory Board, discussed the history of Envision, how it can help verify the sustainability credentials of public projects, and its growing acceptance by public entities nationally and in Houston and Harris County.
The full interview is available on the GAA website.
