The Northpointe Regional plant is a 2.6 million gallon waste water plant serving five separate Utility Districts with a projected population of 35,000. The Phase II plant added an additional 72-foot diameter concrete clarifier and was bid for 2.6 million dollars and included new digester capacity and lift station upgrades.
This $17 million project involved the design of an 8.0 MGD wastewater treatment plant facility and 120-inch sanitary sewer in a tunnel. The construction of this 120-inch reinforced concrete tunnel trunkline sanitary sewer included poured in place concrete tunnel, junction boxes, and related tie-ins to facilities.
Existing 0.5 MGD permanent concrete plant was built in 2004 and design is underway to build another identical plant to bring the plant capacity up to 1.0 MGD. The site is located within the floodplain of Willow Creek, which required elevating the plant and lift station.
