RGME is seeking an eager-to-learn collaborative team member as a Land EIT III in Houston, TX. You will be part of a quickly growing team with an opportunity to learn from the best and work your way up to eventually building your own team. You will be an active team member of the Land team from day one! In this Land EIT III position, you will work under the guidance of an experienced PE that will help you learn everything in Land from research, analysis, design, site visits, field surveys, permitting, documentation, construction, client relationship building, and much more.

Position Requirements:

    • Assist senior engineers and project managers: You work under the guidance of experienced professionals and provide support in various engineering tasks. Help with research, data collection, analysis, and preparing design
    • Design and drafting: You may assist in the design of land development projects, such as residential or commercial sites. Creating drawings, maps, and plans using AutoCAD software, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
    • Site investigations and surveys: You will participate in site visits, conduct field surveys, and gather data about the topography, soil conditions, and existing This information is used to assess the feasibility of projects and inform the design process.
    • Permitting and regulatory compliance: You will assist in preparing permit applications and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal You may be involved in coordinating with government agencies and conducting environmental impact assessments.
    • Project documentation: You will contribute to the preparation of technical reports, engineering specifications, and construction This includes writing project proposals, creating cost estimates, and assisting with the preparation of bidding documents.
    • Construction supervision: During the construction phase, You may be involved in site inspections, monitoring construction activities, and addressing any issues that arise. You may work closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that the project is implemented according to the design plans and specifications.
    • You will provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects, with descriptions for each time entry
    • You will attend “kick-off” and design review meetings
    • You may attend and contribute during client meetings
    • You may interact with the general public, offices, and contractors as well as participate in industry organizations to grow visibility for R.G. Miller | DCCM and develop relationships within our field.
