Alexander Smith, EIT, Engineer Associate in R. G. Miller | DCCM Site Development Department, has passed the exam to earn the designation of Professional Engineer (P.E.).

Alex joined RGM in January, after graduating from the University of Houston with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.  Throughout his time in college, he worked as an intern in engineering firms.  He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Born in Houston, Alex spent his childhood in Austin, moving back to Houston to attend college.   He traces his interest in civil engineering to his childhood, where he excelled in math and science and was fascinated with construction.  He grew to recognize the important part civil engineering played in how the world was built and wanted to be a part of that.

When not working, Alex enjoys his hobby of woodworking and tool restoration.
